HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he was injured on the job while lifting heavy appliances.

Roberto Aviles filed a complaint on Aug. 20 in the Harris County District Court against Rent Co., LLC, La Doyce Jenkins and Re Jen Four LLC alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 22, 2016, he was injured while in the course and scope of his employment with the defendants while lifting heavy appliances. He alleges he suffered serious bodily injuries resulting in medical care and treatment expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff holds Houses for Rent Co. LLC, Jenkins and Re Jen Four LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn him of the hazards of his employment and failed to furnish safe instrumentalities for him to use while working.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Nathan E. Inurria and George K. Farah of Guerra & Farah PLLC in Houston.
