Harris County sues Tomball Spring Cypress Investments for employee's injury

HOUSTON – Harris County has filed a lawsuit against Tomball Spring Cypress Investments, LLC, alleging negligence after one of its employees was seriously injured after stepping into a hidden hole. 

Harris County filed a lawsuit in the Harris County Circuit Court against Tomball Spring Cypress Investments, LLC.

According to the lawsuit, an employee of Harris County was carrying out his duties on a property owned by Tomball Spring Cypress Investments when he stepped in a hole that was hidden from view and injured himself.

The lawsuit alleges that the defendant had knowledge of the dangerous condition existing on its premises, but took no action to warn the Harris County employee or make the premises safe. 

The lawsuit states that the employee sustained injuries that were serious enough that he was unable to work. The suit adds that the employee incurred medical expenses.

Harris County is seeking damages in the amount of $869.94 for the cost of the employee's medical and income benefits plus interest, court costs, and any other relief the court deems proper. The plaintiff is represented in this case by Harris County Senior Assistant Attorney Laura Kemp in Houston.
