HOUSTON - A lawsuit seeking up to $1 million in damages for a minor child’s injuries has been brought against Pearland Urban Air.

Vaibhave Parikh, as next friend to minor R.P., filed the suit on Dec. 29 in Harris County District Court.

Nearly two years earlier, on Jan. 22, 2022, R.P. was at Urban Air with her family waiting in line at the rock wall, according to the lawsuit.

The suit states that while waiting in line, her sister had climbed the wall and became scared while at the top. An Urban Air employee then directed R.P. to climb up the wall to assist her sister without being properly harnessed.

“Due to the blatant negligence of the employee, R.P. fell from several feet off the wall, hitting the floor,” the suit states. “Had R.P. been harnessed properly, she would have most likely glided down safely.”

The suit continues by noting that the defendant’s incident report states that the employee was not following safety procedures.

The plaintiffs are asserting gross negligence.

They are represented by attorney L. James Krell of Vij & Krell.
