HOUSTON - A lawsuit seeking more than $1 million in damages is alleging a ladder failure caused a man to fall 24 feet to the ground.
Alleging gross negligence, Omar Benitez filed suit against Ras Apartments and Kishore Motwani on March 3 in Harris County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 19 Benitez was working as a contractor at Oakwood Villa Apartments. He was using a ladder to change a light fixture when the ladder failed and he fell 24 feet to the ground, fracturing his back.
He is represented by attorney Muhammad Aziz of Abraham Watkins.
