HOUSTON - A woman is seeking up to $10 million in damages from United Airlines, alleging the company failed to provide her with a safe and injury-free flight two years ago.

Claiming negligence, Stephanie Grace filed her suit March 22 in Harris County District Court.

According to her lawsuit, during her flight on March 23, 2022, Grace suffered a hemorrhage in her left eye, which she had surgery on three days earlier.

The suit states she was cleared to fly by her doctor.

Grace asserts she required medical intervention to prevent permanent damage but was told by United employees there was nothing they could do to help. She suffered blindness in her left eye.

“Defendants… failed to provide a safe and injury-free flight due to its failures to aid Plaintiff when suffering from a medical condition…,” the suit states.

The plaintiff is represented by Attorney Geoffrey Courtney, along with attorney Reid Lampert, Esq. of Katzman, Lampert & Stoll.
