Misty Marie Harper, individually and as a legal representative of the estate of John Henry Harper III, deceased, has filed a lawsuit against Ngan Thien A. Dao, D.O., Linquan Sun, M.D., Syed Sidiq, M.D., Yana Grigoreff, M.D., and Kelly Cameron, D.O. The case was filed in the District Court of Harris County, Texas with the court case ID 2024-1 9081 on March 26th, 2024.
Harper alleges that the defendants' negligence led to the death of her husband. On March 25th, 2022, John Henry Harper III was admitted to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest for symptoms consistent with an acute CVA. He was later transferred to inpatient rehabilitation where physicians decided to place a PEG tube and took him off Plavix which allegedly resulted in a catastrophic CVA.
The plaintiff asserts that this decision was substandard and caused Mr. Harper's death on July 1st, 2022 due to complications from the second CVA. The defendants are all physicians authorized to do business within Texas and may be served at their place of business at 710 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston.
Harper is seeking judgment under the Texas Wrongful Death Statute and Texas Survival Statute along with other applicable laws. She alleges that each defendant engaged in acts and omissions constituting negligence.
