Jaylen Barnes-Singleton has filed a lawsuit against Dagnchew Lapiso in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case, under ID 2024-23297 and dated April 12, 2024, is centered around a vehicular accident that resulted in personal injury.
Represented by attorney Donald G. DeSimone, Barnes-Singleton alleges that on October 14, 2023, while he was a passenger in a 2018 Dodge Journey traveling on Boone Road in Harris County, Lapiso caused a collision by failing to yield right of way while driving a 2017 Toyota Highlander. The incident led to serious personal bodily injuries for Barnes-Singleton.
The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief less than $250,000 for damages including past and future medical expenses, physical impairment, and pain and suffering. The lawsuit claims that Lapiso disregarded the safety of other drivers and failed to act as a reasonable person would under similar circumstances.
