A wrongful death lawsuit claims a Hemphill man was not warned of the increased risk of bleeding associated with the prescription drug Pradaxa, a drug used to treat atrial fibrillation. 


Worker sues Pep Boys after bungee cord from sidewalk sale strikes eye

MARSHALL - A Pep Boy’s employee has filed a lawsuit claiming she suffered a serious eye injury when she attempted to follow her employer’s instructions by setting up a canopy with the use of bungee cords and one of the bungee cords came loose and hit her right eye. 

GM sued after minor suffers fatal injuries when vehicle strikes tree

MARSHALL - The family of a deceased minor child has filed wrongful death lawsuit against GM following an accident in Marion County in which the child suffered fatal injuries when the vehicle in which she was a passenger struck a tree.

SHERMAN - A disabled woman working as an accounts payable clerk filed a disability discrimination lawsuit against her former employer that claims she was terminated less than a week after her physician said she would not be able to lift more than 10 pounds or do any prolonged walking.

Claiming that his knee replacement device was defective, Fred T. Long Sr. and his wife, Joetta, filed a lawsuit against the device’s manufacturers Zimmer Inc., Zimmer Holdings Inc. and Zimmer Orthopaedic Surgical Products Inc. on Feb. 26 in Beaumont Division of the Eastern District of Texas.
