Plano-based Display Technologies LLC is the owner by assignment of United States Patent No. 8,671,195 (the “’195 Patent”) entitled “Digital Media Communications Protocol.” The ’195 Patent issued on March 11, 2014.

Mr. Leigh M. Rothschild is listed as the inventor on the ’195 Patent.

Utah-based Actavis Laboratories UT, Inc. is the plaintiff.

It accuses UCB, Inc. of infringing on United States Patent No. 7,921,999 (“the ’999 patent”), entitled “Peelable Pouch for Transdermal Patch and Method for Packaging,” issued to Michael W. Kimball on April 12, 2011.

The ’999 patent covers a peelable pouch system for holding a transdermal patch containing rotigotine. Neupro is a peelable pouch system holding a transdermal patch containing rotigotine. Neupro is covered by at least one claim of the ’999 patent.

Tinnus Enterprises, LLC et al v. Telebrands Corporation et al 6:15-cv-00551-RWS-JDL

Tinnus Enterprises, LLC and ZURU Ltd. seek to enjoin the manufacture, importation, distribution, use, sales, and offers to sell by the defendants of a certain product known as Balloon Bonanza that infringes or contributes toward the infringement of United States Patent No. 9,051,066.

Tinnus is the owner by assignment of the entire right, title and interest in the ’066 Patent. ZURU is the exclusive licensee of the ’066 Patent, and thus both plaintiffs have standing to sue for infringement of the ’066 Patent.

The plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Cortland Christopher Putbrese, David Ludwig, Robert D. Spendlove, Thomas Mansfield Dunlap and Eric Hugh Findlay.
