Computer mouse company says Dell infringed on its patent

MARSHALL, Texas (Legal Newsline) – A computer mouse company has filed a lawsuit against computer company Dell on Wednesday alleging patent infringement.

Better Mouse Company, a limited liability company out of Tyler, Texas, alleged Dell infringed on its patent for an “Apparatus for Setting Multi-Stage Displacement Resolution of a Mouse" by selling the Alienware TactX Mouse, which is mainly used for computer gaming, and the Dell Laser Mouse.

Better Mouse alleges it has been damaged as a result of Dell selling the product. Better Mouse is seeking restitution, but doesn't list a specific amount of damages in its suit.

The company is also asking the court to prevent Dell from selling or promoting any of the mice it believes infringes on the patent.

Better Mouse is represented by Larry D. Thompson Jr., Matthew J. Antonelli and Zachariah S. Harrington of Antonelli, Harrington & Thompson in Houston and Stafford Davis of the Stafford Davis Firm in Tyler.
