A Friendswood woman is suing over claims she was bitten by her neighbors' dog.

Cynthia A. Hart filed a lawsuit Nov. 26 in Galveston County District Court against Jaime Gomez Pardo and Amy Carlson Gomez Pardo, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the defendants lived next door to Hart when their dog forced his head through the boards of the fence that separated their property from Hart's on Stillwater Drive in Friendswood and bit the plaintiff's finger while she attempted to protect herself and her dog. The complaint states the injury required the amputation of Hart's finger. The Pardos are accused of negligence, gross negligence and strict liability.

Hart seeks more than $200,000 in damages. She is represented by attorney David W. Showalter of Showalter Law Firm in Richmond.
