A Jefferson County man is suing over claims his property was wrongfully foreclosed.
Todd D. Bryson filed a lawsuit Nov. 6, 2014, in Jefferson County District Court against Wells Fargo Bank and Action Restoration Inc., citing wrongful foreclosure.
According to the complaint, in 2008 Bryson, who was CEO of Action Restoration, entered into a loan with Wells Fargo's predecessor, Wachovia Bank, whereby Bryson and Action borrowed $700,000 to pay Action's debt and construct a residence on Bryson's land on state Highway 365 in Fannett in exchange for a security interest in the property. Bryson says the deed of trust incorrectly lists another one of his tracts of land in addition to the property in question and, after Action and Bryson parted ways, Action defaulted on the loan, which Bryson was unaware of until Wells Fargo foreclosed both tracts.
Bryson seeks a rescission of the foreclosure sale, a restraining order and damages. He is represented by attorney Wyatt D. Snider of Snider Law Firm in Beaumont.
