Joe Barnett was in an auto collision in 2005 with a vehicle driven by defendant Tomplait and owned by Rochester Armored Car. Plaintiff says defendants' recklessness and carelessness caused him severe and permanent injury. He is suing for physical and emotional pain and suffering and loss of enjoyment of life.

Jefferie Cartwright was exiting L'auberge du Lac Casino in Lake Charles when she said wrinkled carpet outside the door caused her to fall. Plaintiff sustained skull, neck, back, knee, shoulder and eye injuries. She alleges the casino is negligent for failing to assure that the carpet was not wrinkled.
