David Hinds vs. Parker Lumber
PA � Clay Dugas, J - 260th Judicial District
Orange County resident David Hinds has filed a deceptive trade practices lawsuit against Parker Lumber and Jeld-Wen Inc. He claims the $20,000 weather resistant doors he purchased rotted. Hinds is suing for $60,000 in actual damages, plus all court costs.

Jeremiah Henson et al vs. Richard Whitehurst et al
PA - John McElroy, J - 260th Judicial District
Dissatisfied with their fairly new roof, a pair of Orange residents are suing the two contractors who built the covering. Jeremiah Henson and Joyce Sherrill hired contractors Richard Whitehurst and Travis Johnson to repair their roof after Hurricane Rita. They paid the contractors $7,000. And when the roof began to leak, the pair contacted the contractors, who told them they needed new windows. The plaintiffs are suing for actual and treble damages.
