Lee Parsley will be taking the helm of the Texas Civil Justice League, a tort reform organization with whom TLR works closely.
Established in 1986, the Texas Civil Justice League:
-is a non-partisan, statewide business coalition committed to legal reform and public policy research.

We know that Lee's new role as President of TCJL will strengthen the coordination between our two organizations, which can only benefit the cause of a fair, predictable and balanced civil justice system in Texas," said TLR President, Richard J. Lee has been an integral member of TLR's team since he joined as outside counsel in 2003. That year, Lee played a key role in writing the historic Omnibus Tort Reform Bill, HB4, which was the most comprehensive law reform ever passed in our nation's history.
In 2005, Lee played an integral part in establishing the landmark reforms that curtailed the abusive asbestos and silica lawsuits that the Wall Street Journal called "The Great Asbestos Scam," where lawsuits were manufactured for money.
Lee was also a leader in developing the 2007 lawsuit reform legislation that closed a loophole in state venue law that had created an avalanche of abusive lawsuits against the dredging industry and was threatening Texas' critical maritime industry.
In 2009, Lee helped repel an assault of over 900 pieces of legislation that attempted to create new opportunities to sue or to undermine previous lawsuit reforms or proper judicial decisions.
