GALVESTON - A Harris County woman is suing a local mental health assistance agency over a car accident she had with one of its employees two years ago.
Kimberly Labbe's lawsuit against The Gulf Coast Center says that on May 18, 2008, registered nurse Linda Bell rear-ended Labbe while the plaintiff was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Highway 288 and Highway 6 in Manvel.
The suit was filed May 14 in Galveston County District Court.
Labbe argues that Bell, who is not named a defendant in the case, was still on duty for The Gulf Coast Center at the time of the alleged collision.
The plaintiff consequently seeks unspecified monetary damages for physical pain and suffering, mental anguish and anxiety, lost wages, and medical expenses.
Attorney Richard C. Dalton of Scott, La., is representing the plaintiff, and Galveston County 212th District Court Judge Susan Criss is presiding over the litigation.
