A total of four new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, Sept. 2, 2010.
The following complaints were filed:
Keith and Christina Hill of 90 Avenue of the Oaks in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association wrongfully denied their claim for roof, wind and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Hills will be represented by Mike Ramsey of the Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: D187-937.
T.L. Perkins of 3870 Audree St. in Beaumont alleges National Lloyds Insurance Co. wrongfully denied his claim for roof, wind and water damage caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. He alleges defendants Compass Adjusting Services Inc. and adjuster John Dubose committed acts of unfair settlement practices. Perkins will be represented by Rick Carrasco of Houston. Jerry Taylor of 770 Ave. D in Beaumont alleges Fire Insurance Exchange wrongfully denied his claims for roof and water damage caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Taylor will be represented by Steve Mostyn of the Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: E187-933.
Joann Thomas of 820 Foley Ave. in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Associaton wrongfully denied her claims for roof and water damage caused to her property when Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
