    Plaintiff Effectively Illuminated Pathways is a Texas limited liability company with its principal place of business in Plano.

    The defendants are Home Depot, Sears Roebuck and Co., Sears Brands and Sears Holding Management Corp.

    The defendants are accused of infringing on U.S. Patent No. 6,580,228 issued June 17, 2003, for Flexible Substrate Mounted Solid-State Light Sources for Use in Line Current Lamp Sockets.

    The plaintiff argues the defendants are willfully infringing on the '228 patent.
