Wreck in Webster subject of lawsuit

GALVESTON John Naylor of Houston and Jennifer Jones of League City claim Jacob Taylor Clebosky struck their vehicle during icy conditions on a street in Webster more than a year ago.

On Dec. 5, 2009, Clebosky allegedly rear-ended Naylor's vehicle and caused it to crash into a wall in the 600 block of Bay Area Boulevard, a lawsuit filed Jan. 31 in Galveston County District Court says.

Naylor was traveling in the right lane with Jones as his passenger while the defendant was behind in the left lane prior to the alleged collision.

"The defendant, failing to control his speed and failing to drive at a safe speed due to icy conditions, collided with the wall on the left side of the roadway and then struck Naylor's vehicle in the rear, causing Naylor's vehicle to strike the wall on the right side of the roadway," the original petition says.

Naylor and Jones say that they consequently suffered physical injuries thus seek unspecified monetary damages.

They are represented by The Law Office of Joseph Stang.

The case has been assigned to Galveston County 10th District Court Judge David Garner.
