Report: Rick Perry stumps for Mo. AG candidate

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (Legal Newsline) - Former presidential hopeful and current Texas Gov. Rick Perry reportedly stumped for Missouri attorney general candidate Ed Martin over the weekend.

The Southeast Missourian reported that Perry, a Republican, spoke at a rally for Martin in Cape Girardeau Friday. About 200 people attended, according to the newspaper.

"You have the opportunity to turn Missouri cardinal red in this upcoming election," Perry told the crowd, urging them to vote for conservative candidates like Martin.
