  • Kemah restaurant accused of false imprisonment

    A woman is suing over claims she was wrongly arrested as a guest at a Kemah-area hotel and restaurant.

    Michel Monique Burrage and her family filed a false imprisonment lawsuit on Thursday, May 31 in the Harris County District Court against Kemah-area Landry's Seafood House and the Boardwalk Inn.

  • Seaman sues Galveston company after workplace accidents

    A Harris County man is suing after, he says, he sustained serious injuries on two separate occasions while working as a seaman for a Galveston-area company.

    James D. Williams filed a lawsuit on Friday, June 1 in the Harris County District Court against Galveston-area Katie's Seafood and The M/V Avenger, citing negligence.

    Yolanda Abrego filed a lawsuit on Thursday, May 31 in the Harris County District Court against Robert Flores, McDonald's of La Marque and McDonald's, citing negligence.

    Workers are suing after, they say, they sustained serious injuries when a steam header blew inside of a ConocoPhillips refinery.

    Alvin resident Rogelio Guerra, La Porte resident Juan Cantu and others filed a lawsuit on Tuesday, June 5 in the Harris County District Court against ConocoPhillips, citing negligence.

    A Clear Lake man is suing over claims residents of Bellaire and Pearland attempted to sully his good name by spreading lies about him.

    Clear Lake resident Ronald Lozoff filed a lawsuit on Friday, June 8 in the Harris County District Court against Bellaire residents Nada Faqih and Fan Zhang and Pearland residents Cecilia Jones and Christine Vamvakas, citing defamation.

    A Clearlake couple is suing over claims a Friendswood-area mall failed to provide customers with a safe shopping environment.

    Cora and Charles Cannon filed a lawsuit on Tuesday, June 19 in the Harris County District Court against Baybrook Mall in Friendswood and The Millard Group, citing negligence.
