Suit says wreck had woman spitting blood

Le

GALVESTON - Local residents Trung Le and Noi Bui have filed suit against Seabrook local Cassandra Moore in response to a two-vehicle accident late last year.

The plaintiffs claim in a lawsuit filed July 27 in Galveston County District Court that Moore caused the wreck along a stretch of FM 646 on Nov. 22, 2011.

According to the suit, the plaintiffs were traveling in a green 1998 Toyota 4-Runner southbound when the defendent, who was driving a 2002 Mazda pickup truck, tried to get on 646 from a parking lot but "negligently pulled out of the parking lot without properly looking and caused the accident."

Recent court documents show the "strong" impact inflicted injuries upon the plaintiffs, stating Bui "began spitting blood as soon as she got out of her vehicle."

Bui also suffered injuries to her neck, back and head, the suit says.

Meanwhile, Le asserts he hurt his back and head "and was having difficulty sleeping."

He adds he missed more than a month of work as a self-employed fisherman.

A jury trial is requested.

Attorney Cuong M. Le with The Law Office of Cuong M. Le PLLC in Houston is representing the plaintiffs, and Galveston County 212th District Court Judge Susan Criss is presiding over the case.
