Female employee files discrimination lawsuit against Red River Army depot contractor

Culbertson

TEXARKANA - A female Red River Army depot employee has filed a gender discrimination lawsuit that claims her employer condoned sexual harassment by not taking any action when she was harassed by a supervisor.

Rezita Moss filed suit against URS Corp., formerly known as Lear Siegler Services Inc., on Aug. 16 in the Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana Division.

Moss is an Arkansas resident that has worked for the defendant at Red River Army Depot in Texarkana since June 2007.

According to the lawsuit, Moss was sexually harassed by her immediate supervisor. She states that she complained to the Defendant, but no action was taken against the supervisor. In addition, Moss claims she requested a transfer into a different department, to no avail.

The supervisor allegedly told Moss, "You can cry about it all you want, but I got away with it this time," the suit states.

The defendant is accused of gender discrimination, sexual harassment and retaliation.

The plaintiff is asking the Court to restrain the defendant from further acts of discrimination and for an award of damages, attorney fees and court costs.

Moss is represented by Geoffrey P. Culbertson of Patton, Tidwell & Schroeder in Texarkana. A jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge Michael H. Schneider is assigned to the case.
