Companies locked in apparent dispute over tire shipment

HOUSTON - An apparent dispute over a shipment of tires is the focus of a federal lawsuit.

TRC Tire Sales LLC and PSI Logistics International LLC claim in recent court documents filed May 24 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas that Triple S Tire Co. Inc. has made demand for possession of 26 mining truck tires they respectively purchased and transported.

The lawsuit explains that TRC Tire Sales bought 32 3300R51 Goodyear tires from Houston-based Mining Global Corp. for a total of $664,000 and tabbed PSI Logistics to transport the tires from the Expert Crating facilities, also in Houston, to St. George Warehouse in Pasadena.

According to the suit, Triple S and its agent, Recovery Systems, then pushed to inspect 26 of the 32 tires which they claim were stolen as well as filed a complaint with the Harris County Sheriff's Department.

The original petition further shows the tires were held until an investigation was completed, and the plaintiffs were compelled to provide a reportedly skeptical St. George Warehouse proper documentation proving TRC Tire Sales had rights to said tires.

Meanwhile, the respondent is still active in pursuing its supposed ownership claim.

A declaratory judgment is sought.

Attorney Vic Houston Henry of Henry Oddo Austin & Fletcher in Dallas is representing the complainants.
