Dallas Co. resident sues employer for minimum wages and overtime wages

SHERMAN - A Dallas County resident has filed a lawsuit claiming his employer failed to pay him minimum wages and overtime wages.

John Satterwhite filed suit against Texas Custom Pools Inc, doing business as Riverbend Sandler Pools, and Charles Barnes on July 31 in the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division.

Satterwhite worked for the defendants from December 2011 through June 2012, then again from November 2012 through March 2013, as a driver.

He claims that during one or more of his weeks of employment, the defendants failed to pay minimum wage and failed to pay one and one-half times his regular rate for each overtime hour worked.

The defendants are accused of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act for failing to pay minimum wage and overtime compensation.

Satterwhite is seeking an award of damages, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees, interest and court costs.

The plaintiff is represented by Charles L. Scalise and Daniel B. Ross of Ross Law Group in Austin. A jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge Richard A. Schell is assigned to the case.
