HOUSTON - A Houston man who owns and operates a dozen of cell phone retail stores has filed a lawsuit alleging Cricket Communications Inc. wrongfully denied him access to the business's computer network.
Pervez Rouf and his venture, PNK Wireless Communications Inc., sued Cricket and its Houston district director, Matt Sevier, in Harris County District Court earlier this month
Houston federal court took on the case on Sept. 20.
The parties had a two-year-old agreement which called for the plaintiffs to sell the respondents' products.
After said agreement was executed, Rouf opened 12 Houston area stores.
According to the suit, the respondents, however, reneged on Sept. 5 when they cut the Rouf's computer log-on off and shut down the shops' operations.
The defendants wrote a letter explaining their reasoning behind the move in question to which the complainants assert contained "false information and forms number basis for the termination of neither the agreement nor the cutoff computer capabilities."
"The action taken by the plaintiffs was reasonable and foreseeable in light of the promise made by the defendant," the suit says.
Consequently, the complainants seek unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
They are represented by attorney J. Anthony Hale of J. Anthony Hale & Associates in Houston.
