A Smith County resident is suing after he was injured in a car crash.
James A. Barnes filed a lawsuit Sept. 26 against James E. Crump in the District Court of Jefferson County, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 14, 2013 Barnes was injured when his vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Crump at the intersection of College Street and Hospital Drive in Beaumont.
Barnes is seeking damages between $100,000 and $200,000. He is being represented in the case by Jeffrey C. Chilton of Packard Lapray.
