Automobile accident results in lawsuit

A Beaumont woman is suing over claims that an an automobile collision caused serious injuries.

Lively J. Stratton filed a lawsuit Sept. 26 in the District Court of Jefferson County, Texas, 136th Judicial District against Rachael M. Wileman, citing negligence. 

The plaintiff says on Dec. 5, 2012, she sustained serious injuries when she was in an automobile collision with the defendant while in the 1000 block of Interstate 10 service road in Beaumont. According to the complaint, the defendant entered the intersection on a red light, colliding with the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $100,000. She is being represented by Jeffrey C. Chilton of Packard LaPray in Beaumont.
