A Jefferson County couple is suing after the wife was rear-ended by a driver.
Andrew and Marlene Batiste filed a lawsuit Sept. 26 in the District Court of Jefferson County against Eduardo M. Chay Leon, citing negligence and loss of consortium.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 26, 2012 Marlene Batiste was driving south on U.S. 60 near Lucas Drive when Leon rear-ended her vehicle, causing injuries.
The Batistes are seeking an undisclosed amount of damages, plus court costs and attorney's fees. They are being represented in the case by Ryan C. Scott of The Scott Law Firm PLLC.
