Port Arthur residents sue after car crash

Port Arthur residents are suing after they were involved in an automobile accident.

Jasmine Cunningham, individually and as next best friend of Noah Berra and Lexazm Berra filed a lawsuit Oct. 22 against Jornae Johnson in Jefferson County District Court, citing negligence. 

According to the complaint, on Oct. 23, 2011, the plaintiffs were involved in a motor vehicle collision on Evergreen Drive in Port Arthur. The complaint states the defendant failed to stop at a red light and collided with the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs are seeking an undisclosed amount in damages. They are being represented in the case by attorney Johnnie Carter III.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, Jefferson County 58th District Court.
