A Jefferson County man is suing after he was involved in an automobile accident.
Rex Nwanne filed a lawsuit on Oct. 30 against L.H. Chaney Materials Inc. and Marco Medina in the District Court of Jefferson County 172nd judicial district, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, 2012, Nwanne and Medina, who was on the job for L.H. Chaney Materials, were involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Martin Luther King Parkway and Washington Boulevard in Beaumont.
The plaintiff states that Medina failed to yield at a right-of-way and struck the plaintiff's vehicle.
The plaintiff contends this suit is necessary to resolve the debt and damages he is owed after he has attempted to resolve the case with the defendants and has not heard back from the insurance company.
Nwanne is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.
He is being represented in the case by attorney Gilbert T. Adams III of Gilbert Adams Law Offices.
