A man is suing after he was involved in an workplace accident.
Edward Acclis Jr. filed a lawsuit in October against Texas Industrial Box Co. and Transportation, Texas Industrial Box Co. and Rentals Inc. and Edward Shaw in the District Court of Jefferson County 60th judicial district, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 27, Acclis was working for Newpark Resources Inc. While performing his job, Shaw was backing his truck into the loading docks and pinned the plaintiff's legs against the dock, according to the complaint.
The plaintiff contends the defendants were negligent and failed to keep a proper lookout.
Acclis is seeking damages in excess of $100,000, but not more than $200,000.
He is being represented in the case by attorney John Werner of Reaud, Morgan & Quinn LLP.
The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.
