Recent patent infringement cases filed in the Eastern District of Texas

MARSHALL DIVISION

Nov. 12 

• RPost Holdings Inc. et al v. Sophos Inc. Case No. 2:13-cv-00959 

RPost Holdings is a Delaware corporation having a place of business in Plano. RPost Communications Ltd. is a Bermuda corporation.

The defendant is accused of infringing on:

• U.S. Patent No. 8,161,104 issued April 17, 2012, for System and Method for Verifying Delivery and Integrity of Electronic Messages;

• U.S. Patent No. 8,275,845 issued Sept. 25, 2012, for System and Method for Verifying Delivery and Integrity of Electronic Messages; and

• U.S. Patent No. 8,468,198 issued June 18, 2013 for System and Method for Verifying Delivery and Integrity of Electronic Messages.

The plaintiff is asking the court for an injunction and for an award of damages, enhanced damages, interest, court costs and attorney’s fees.

• MyMail Ltd. v. Conduit Ltd. et al Case No. 2:13-cv-00961

MyMail Ltd. is a Texas limited with its principal place of business in Athens.

The defendants are accused of infringing on:

U.S. Patent No. 8,275,863 issued June 19, 1997, that described the various unique features of their NEAT! Software;

U.S. Patent No. 8,275,863 issued Sept. 25, 2012, for Method of Modifying a Toolbar; and

U.S. Patent No. 7,870,109 issued Jan. 11, 2011, for Method and System for Use with the Internet.

The plaintiff is seeking an award of damages, court costs and interest.

The plaintiff is asking for an award of damages, treble damages, interest and court costs.
