Maria Perez filed suit in the District Court of Jefferson County on Nov. 15, naming David Terpstra as the sole defendant.
According to Perez, she was in a car accident with Terpstra on Nov. 19, 2011, at the intersection of State Highway 87 and Main Street in Jefferson County.
Perez blames the accident on Terpstra and claims he was driving negligently.
According to her filing, Perez says Terpstra failed to yield at the intersection even though she had the right of way.
Perez allegedly suffered injuries when the cars collided and seeks to hold Terpstra liable for said injuries and any cost associated therewith.
Perez is seeking damages within the courts jurisdictional limits.
She is being represented by attorney Dan R. Revier.
The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
