A man is suing the state agricultural department after a car crash with employee.
Duke W. Jones filed a petition Jan. 18 in the Jefferson County District Court against the Texas Department of Agriculture, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 8, 2012, a vehicle driven by an employee of the Texas Dept. of Agriculture was traveling east on the Interstate Highway 10 service road.
The complaint states at the intersection with FM 365 the vehicle failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and collided with the plaintiff's vehicle, causing injuries.
Jones is seeking damages less than $100,000. He is being represented in the case by attorney Ryan C. Scott.
