A Galveston County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision in the driveway of a Family Dollar store.
Stephanie B. Barnett filed a lawsuit May 16 in the Galveston County Court against Christopher D. Dechello, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Barnett was sitting in her car in the driveway of the Family Dollar in Bacliff, waiting to turn onto Highway 146, on May 16, 2012, when her car was struck by Dechello's.
The complaint states Dechello's brakes failed, causing him to take the turn into the driveway at too high a speed and strike the plaintiff's vehicle, causing injury to the plaintiff.
Barnett is appearing pro se.
