Robert Keller filed a lawsuit June 3 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Web.com Group Inc., citing age discrimination.

According to the complaint, Keller was employed as Houston branch manager for outside sales for Web.com Group, when his supervisors allegedly instructed him to hire younger people.

Keller claims he reported his suspicions of age discrimination to a superior July 19, 2012, to human resources July 26, 2012, and finally on Aug. 15, 2012, to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission after nothing had been done.

The complaint states the company fired Keller on Sept. 21, 2012, allegedly in retaliation.

Keller is seeking damages, back pay, front pay, attorney's fees and reinstatement.

He is being represented in the case by attorney Bruce A. Coane of Coane and Associates PLLC.
