A Jefferson County man is suing over claims he was injured when he was struck by a car while riding his bike.

Isaac King Jr. filed a lawsuit June 3 in the Jefferson County District Court against Ba Truong, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, King was riding his bike on Pennsylvania Street in Beaumont on Aug. 16, 2013, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Truong. King claims he sustained injuries to his knee, leg and body.

Truong is accused of negligence, failing to control the vehicle's speed, and making an unsafe lane change.

King is seeking damages, costs of medical care, lost wages, loss of earning capacity, and costs of court.

He is being represented in the case by attorney Gilbert T. Adams III of Gilbert Adams Law Office in Beaumont.
