Rearend crash

A Jefferson County woman is suing over claims she and her daughter were injured in a vehicle collision.

Latrissa R. Rideau, individually and as next friend of Gabrielle Batiste, filed a lawsuit June 4 in the Jefferson County District Court against Penny D. Landry, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Rideau was driving a vehicle carrying Batiste, her minor daughter, on Nov. 23, when the Landry vehicle failed to yield the right of way and her vehicle rear-ended the plaintiffs'.

Rideau says she and her daughter suffered injuries, requiring her to undergo several medical procedures.

Rideau is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Mickey L. Washington of Washington & Associates PLLC in Houston.
