A mortgage company is suing over claims homeowners have failed to make mortgage payments.
Nationstar Mortgage LLC filed a lawsuit July 17 in the Jefferson County District Court against Glen P. Klima, Shelly K. Klima, administrator of the US Small Business Administration, and the City of Groves, citing foreclosure.
According to the complaint, Nationstar holds a promissory note executed by the defendants in 2006 for $66,400, as well as a deed with the property on Howe Street in Groves as security for payment.
Nationstar says the defendants have failed to pay 53 of the monthly payments, making the amount to cure the default $66,900 and the payoff $110,000.
Nationstar is seeking a judicial foreclosure and attorney's fees.
It is being represented in the case by attorney Joseph M. Vacek of Barrett Daffin Frappier Turner & Engel LLP in Addison.
