A Jefferson County company is suing over claims Texas mat supplier has breached their contract.
Kilgore Construction LLC, doing business as Kilgore Industrial, filed a lawsuit July 16 in the Jefferson County District Court against Newpark Mats and Integrated Services LLC, and Tom Joines, citing breach of contract.
According to the complaint, Kilgore rented industrial mats owned by Newpark to various clients, and reached an agreement with the defendant to pay off debt accrued from the rentals.
Kilgore says that after the agreement, Newpark refused to rent mats to Kilgore and also began renting mats directly to a customer of Kilgore's, cutting Kilgore out of the business relationship, after promising it would not do so.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract and fraud.
Kilgore Construction is being represented in the case by attorneys Chris M. Portner and J. Trenton Bond of Portner Bond PLLC and Stuart C. Yoes of The Yoes Law Firm LLP in Beaumont.
