A Jefferson County man is suing over claims a Harris County businessman has breached a contract for the purchase of interest in a company.
Muhammad T. Javed filed a lawsuit July 15 in the Jefferson County District Court against Scott E. Smith, citing breach of contract.
According to the complaint, Javed purchased an interest in ZT Acquisitions Inc., from Smith, who simply kept the plaintiff's money.
Smith is accused of breach of contract and fraud. Javed is seeking damages and costs of court.
He is being represented in the case by attorneys Chris M. Portner and J. Trenton Bond of Portner Bond PLLC in Beaumont.
