Plaintiff Data Carriers is based in Tyler.
Data Carriers asserts it is the owner of United States Patent No. 5,388,198 (“the ‘198 patent”) entitled “Proactive Presentation of Automating Features to a Computer User”.
The ‘198 Patent was issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on February 7, 1995.
The ‘198 Patent provides, among other things, “A system for proactively automating an operation of a general purpose computer having a central processing unit (CPU), a display device, an input device and memory with application programs and routines by automatically intervening in a user’s manipulations of the input device to present automating features.”
Claiming the ‘198 Patent was infringed, Data Carriers seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
