HOUSTON -- A Missouri City man is suing a metal tube business, alleging lack of overtime wages paid.
He is further seeking collective action status for others he worked with and were not paid overtime.
Sudiek Brown, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a lawsuit Sept. 10 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Cole International Tubular Service, alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, Brown and other class members worked for the defendant within the last three years as thread representatives and were paid a salary, plus job bonuses, but no overtime for all time worked more than 40 hours in each work week.
Brown seeks collective action status for the suit, back pay, liquidated damages, court costs, attorney fees, an accounting of the books of the defendants and other relief as appropriate. He is represented by attorneys Clif Alexander and Austin W. Anderson of Phipps Anderson Deacon LLP in Corpus Christi.
