A Jefferson County woman is suing Walgreens, alleging negligence for injuries sustained at a Port Arthur pharmacy.

Dawn Campbell filed a lawsuit Sept. 15 in Jefferson County District Court against Walgreens Specialty, alleging negligence.

On Aug. 12, the complaint states, Campbell was walking down the aisles of the Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy at 4930 Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, when she suddenly tripped over a spray pallet lying flat and empty across the aisle.

The suit says Walgreens was negligent in failing to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition, failing to inspect for dangerous conditions, failing to correct dangerous conditions and failing to inform of dangerous conditions. As a result, the lawsuit states, the plaintiff sustained injuries to her legs, neck, and back, physical impairment and disfigurement, pain, suffering and mental anguish, and has incurred medical expenses.

Campbell seeks monetary relief less than $75,000, plus attorney fees and court costs.

She is represented by attorneys Steven Stratso, John Arthur Daspit and Robert Morse of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.

Jefferson County District Court case number B-197558.
