Overtime3

A mortgage loan officer is suing a bank, alleging unpaid overtime.

Jason Stier, individually and on behalf of others similarly situated, filed a collective action lawsuit July 30 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Great Plains National Bank, alleging unpaid overtime in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The complaint states while Stier worked for Great Plains as a mortgage loan officer in its Oklahoma City office, from February 2011 to March 2013, he routinely worked more than 40 hours per week. The lawsuit alleges Great Plains failed to pay Stier an overtime premium for hours time worked more than 40 hours per week, failed to properly record actual hours worked and failed to include all compensation earned in calculating regular rate of pay.

Stier and others in the class seek to recover unpaid back wages, liquidated damages, interests, attorney fees and costs of the suit. He is represented by attorney Brendan J. Donelon of the Law Office of Donelon in Kansas City.

Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas case number 4:15-cv-00519-ALM.
