HOUSTON--A Galveston County man is suing a Washington man and a New Jersey company, alleging breach of a settlement agreement.

Steven Turner filed a lawsuit Oct. 27 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Gerald Young of Washington, D.C.,  and Hopewell Risk Strategies LLC of New Jersey.

In 2006, Turner purchased a medical bill review company, which the defendant then purchased from the plaintiff in 2009. However, the agreed-upon payments were never made, and the parties reached a mediated agreement.

The complaint states that, once again, payments were not made and another mediation took place that was not successful. The suit says the defendants have still not complied with the settlement agreement.

Turner seeks actual, consequential and punitive damages, attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorney Josh Borsellino of Fort Worth.

Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas Case number 4:15-cv-03152.
