A medical equipment producer is suing a Houston medical facilities group, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
Corin USA Limited Inc. filed a lawsuit June 26 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against First Nobilis, First Nobilis Hospital, doing business as First Surgical Hospital in Houston, First Nobilis Surgical Center doing business as First Street Surgical Center, and First Street Hospital, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
According to the complaint, From March-September 2014, the defendants ordered approximately $296,000 in equipment from Corin USA, which delivered the equipment and provided invoices to the defendants. The suit alleges Corin USA has demanded payment from the defendants on numerous occasions, but the defendants have failed to pay for the equipment.
Corin USA seeks to recover the price of the equipment, incidental damages, costs, interests and attorney fees. It is represented by attorneys Rachel de Cordova of Houston, and by Sharon Carlstedt Britton (of counsel, pending pro hac vice) of Phelps Dunbar in Tampa.
