A worker is suing several oilfield services companies, alleging unpaid overtime.
Brian Blankman, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a collective action lawsuit Oct. 29 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against WCW f/k/a Wildcat Wireline, W-G Energy Services, and KLX Energy Services, alleging unpaid overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The suit states that during the time Blankman was employed by the defendants, he regularly worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
The suit alleges Blankman was paid an hourly rate plus certain non-discretionary bonuses based on a percentage of the job ticket, but he was not paid an overtime premium for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
Blankman and others in the class seek to recover unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, and attorney fees, costs, and expenses. He is represented by attorneys Michael A. Josephson, Jessica M. Bresler, Andrew W. Dunlap, and Lindsay R. Itkin of Fibich Leebron Copeland Briggs & Josephson in Houston, and by Richard J. Burch of Bruckner Burch in Houston.
