A Galveston County woman whose lawsuit claims she was fired from her job at a Papa John's in Texas City for reporting sexual harassment is seeking a default judgment.

Alize Shannon asserts in court documents filed July 24 in the Galveston County 56th District Court that she, as a minor, rejected her general manager's advances only for the defendant to let her go.

According to the original petition, the termination was an act of retaliation.

Shannon submitted a motion for default judgment on Nov. 12 on grounds her former employer failed to answer the suit on several occasions.

“The defendant was properly served and has failed to answer,” the motion states.

Court records show Galveston County 56th District Court Judge Lonnie Cox has not issued any orders.

A jury trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 28, 2016.
